To set fire to the coffee table?

DH is adamant we should keep it. He likes to eat his dinner off it.

He never wipes it down when he's splashed his dinner on it.
It's permanently sticky,
It's a dumping ground top and underneath us just piled with stuff the kids never put away.
The kids keep pulling it nearer the sofa and I'm getting new floor next week and I don't want it scratched.
The room isn't big enough.

DH refuses.

AIBU to put it on the fire? It has to go!

Burn it.

I'm ordering a flame thrower as we speak.

Get rid :)

Sexnotgender · 08/10/2021 14:33

Can you get rid of the husband too?

nousernamehere01 · 08/10/2021 14:37

I thought coffee tables were supposed to be for laundry and cushions 😂😂

Yeah I'd burn it too!

Brainwave89 · 08/10/2021 14:42

I do like a bit of burning I have to say. Practically though, could you get some glass cut to go on the top which he could then wipe clean?

kookplanv · 08/10/2021 14:43

Don't tempt me re the husband!

He makes more mess than the kids!

I'm gonna sneak the table out when he goes into the office next week. Or list it on marketplace for free as he never goes on fb.

Our old coffee table met with an unfortunate accedent. Grin But so did a complete cupboard of ugly glassware MIL gave us. I'm terribly accedent prone it appears.

kookplanv · 08/10/2021 14:48

@Sidneysussex I love it!
