To ask for advice about help for deaf parents

Posting for traffic and because I can't find anything on the Web.

At our primary school there is a family with both deaf parents and two hearing children.

Is there any fund, additional help or support available to help the school communicate with the parents and to help the children. For example children are required to read to parents every day but the parents cannot hear what is being said.

I'm not a professional just another parent at the school but the deaf parents are frustrated that there is no extra support.

I know that the school looked into a sign language interpreter for events and things but it was incredibly expensive and they couldn't afford it.

Just wondering if the wise people of mumsnet.com knew of any support or help.
