What can I do about the drugs?

I work in a city centre and regularly see/smell people smoking weed which is one thing, but recently on my than one occasion, I've seen people with a pipe and smoking it or putting stuff into it (crack or heroin perhaps). This is on a back street off a very busy street. I've started reporting it to the police as once they were sorting their pipe and there was a family with little kids a few metres away, but I don't think there's much the police can do, is there?

I called 101 when drug deals were happening about 20ft from my house and I had to walk past them all waiting like animals every time I wanted to take DD out. I managed to get the car Rej too.
We never see the car after and all the drug takers disappeared for a few months.
However over the last few weeks they have slowly come back.
Hopefully they catch them in the act x

@douliket doing drugs on the street in plain sight of everyone, including young teenagers and kids is disgusting!!!

@GAW19 That sounds awful! I too hope the police catch them too. You deserve to be able to leave your house without having to see this x

I doubt the police are interested in this, they've barely got the time and resources to deal with actual criminals never mind those just quietly causing harm only to themselves. The other day I came out my house to an over powering smell of weed which turned out to be one of the bin men (not the driver) I guess I could have reported him but as with anything like that I see in the street (and you see plenty as this is a city, I just mind my own business.

What can you do about the drugs.

if you are concerned about the harm it is causing, (you and them) you could spend some time volunteering for an addiction charity so you can contribute to harm reduction strategies.
