Posting this here so everyone will know. Check your WhatsApp privacy setting. Mines gone from being my contacts to everyone. It was an update last night.

I don't know if mine has been changed or if I just hadn't realised there were privacy settings on WhatsApp. But either way I've sorted it now so thanks OP

Nothings changed.... Did you look at your settings prior to yesterday... because it always been set as such. Really useful too as I've got a mums friend group and some mums could be added as they not friends of mine but my friends but we all help each other

It wouldn't have changed itself. If your setting weren't how you want them, they've always been that way.

It hasn’t been changed - the default has ALWAYS been “my contacts”. If yours wasn’t, it’s because YOU changed them before.

It’s a setting to allow others to add you to groups. If it’s set to “my contacts”, only people from your contacts can add you to a group. Some people like this setting. Others don’t. That’s all.

A hoax? All mine were set to everyone and they have been set as contact only for as long as I know. No idea If it is down to an update or not as I didn’t notice it updating but I’m still grateful to OP Thank you OP
