Sometimes I think 'wtf was I thinking' my worst one that actually ended in me being detained in a passport office (Durham if anyone is wondering), they called armed police on me, arrested me and I've never been man handled before then but it was one of the worst days of my life.

Why was I treated in this manner? Well I was a massive knob and went to my appointment straight from the gym and had some fat burning pills in my bag I didn't even think as I put it through the scanning machine. It was only when his face went white and someone literally jumped on my back forcing me to the floor I remembered about the bastard things

I've added a photo. What a twat to forget that was there Hmm obviously i also took the bloody label off so there was nothing defining on it just a big grenade shaped thing in a bag

I can't sleep so I have a nice intrusive thought of going through it in my head over again 🤦‍♀️ make me feel better and share yours please!

It won't be worse than taking a grenade shaped object into a government building Blush

The worst day of your life has me in giggles

I'm sorry BlushGrin

samwitwicky · 06/10/2021 02:51

What happened after they wrestled you to the floor? How was it resolved?

HeyYouGuuuuuuys · 06/10/2021 04:21

@samwitwicky they got armed officers over and the bomb disposal team. They had to close the street down though whilst it was investigated and they were binned. It was beyond embarrassing and I thought I was going to prison. Obviously I was in the was back of a police car for hours

The worst thing was I was there because they didn't believe my last name was real after I got married. I had to go back the next day and actually sort the passport issue out. Blush

The police told me I was a stupid girl (I was 19) but it wasn't actually illegal as it wasn't a real grenade. Asda sells the bloody things now and I cringe so hard everytime I see them!! They didn't even work!!

That's actually hilarious!

Clearly not for you or the people who thought you were trying to blow them up though Grin

Hilarious! I can't top that op!

MadamMedea · 06/10/2021 06:48

That is absolutely hilarious 😂 you poor girl!

CatherineMaitland · 06/10/2021 07:39

My parents bought a replica pistol for my little brother while we were on holiday in Spain. Packed it into hand luggage for the return journey.

Cue armed policeman running at us, guns out, as we went through the scanner. They had a sense of humour though, when they realised it was a replica they just laughed.

Dojacatpaws · 06/10/2021 07:44

What are fat burning pills? And they were in a bottle shaped like a hand grenade?

FangsForTheMemory · 06/10/2021 07:50

I put a jar of jam in my hand luggage for the plane journey back from France. Absolute scenes at customs. They apparently thought my fig jam was drugs. I mean, my mistake but honestly . . . My lovely jam got confiscated.

Goldenhedgehogs · 06/10/2021 07:56

That is amazing, I can imagine terrifying but reading it is hilarious. You definitely could not make it up

Rainbowsew · 06/10/2021 07:56

My lovely chilli jam got confiscated in an airport as I d forgotten about the liquids rule, not that I think jam is liquid anyway Confused I was calling to the man taking it make sure you it eat it's lovely and was really expensive! Blush I guess he thought I was nuts and it went in the bin anyway ...

TheChip · 06/10/2021 08:04

😂😂 that is hilarious! They say you were silly, but come on...they went way overboard for some pills. They must have felt pretty silly themselves really. I know, I know, they can never be too careful.

My wtf did I do that for wasn't anywhere near half as bad as that, but I had many replays in my head for a long time causing me to cringe. Now I chuckle everytime it enters my head.

I have really bad anxiety and quite agoraphobic. I was trying graded exposure to try and get to my local town shops. I just wanted to be able to go to one of the shops if I needed to. I finally made it to the town centre, and I was turning the corner to the row of shops I came head to head with this good looking man.

The little dance thing happened, only I'm not normal, so my side to side dance wasn't normal either. Instead of stepping side to side, I criss crossed. But I criss crossed repeatedly as I continued getting closer to him. Confusion struck my face as I didn't know what was happening to my legs. Almost touching him at this point, after I'd done some over the top strange catwalk walk. He stood staring with the same look of confusion for what felt like ages. Then he just stepped around me.
I then continued my walk past all of the shops, but I couldn't contain my laughter at what just happened. So every few seconds I was making the blurty like noise you do when trying to hold a laugh in, and then in hysterics. All by myself. I have never been able to return on my own.

@Dojacatpaws https://www.grenade.com/products/black-ops?pos=1&&sid=dbb61aaee&ss=r. Yep they're in a pot shaped like a hand grenade... they're really high in caffeine so meant to make you less hungry and more able to work out. They just gave me horrendous heart burn Hmm maybe they've improved a bit in the last 10 years! I can't bring myself to try them tbh!

Not quite the same, I know. But an embarrassing moment in public for me was being in a branch of Tesco whilst suffering from a very heavy period - I have endometriosis.

Long story short, my guts started being very industrious, as is common with endo, and I almost had an accident trying to make my way to the loos. I won't go into details, but once I was safely perched on the porcelain throne, for some reason I said aloud to myself "Period constipation, my arse!" Whoever was in the neighbouring cubicle started to laugh uncontrollably.

LakieLady · 06/10/2021 14:35

Sorry OP, but that has had me roaring with laughter.

If it was in a tv sitcom, I'd have thought "Funny, but a bit far-fetched".
