Anti-malaria tablets and pregnancy?

I’m not sure how to put this in the right place (or where that place even is!), so apologies.

My partner and I were wanting to start trying for a baby at the start of September 2022, however we are going to a wedding in Kenya in August and will need anti-malaria tablets.
I know some anti-malaria tablets mean no baby making for three months, and wondered if anyone had any experience?

I’ve got an appointment with the GP but not for almost a month so I’m trying to go in prepared to be told we have to keep waiting.

Thanks!

I'd recommend malarone, that's what we took when we went many years ago. I think you only have to wait a couple of weeks for it to get out your system before getting pregnant but advice changes all the time so see what the doctor says.
