..to ask, if you’ve ever been stuck in a rut, what you did to get out of it?

I’m feeling a bit fed up and stuck in a rut and not sure how to shake myself out of it.

Would love to hear your stories on how you made a life change for the better!

Whenever I have been stuck in a rut I've tried to imagine looking at my life as a stranger would see my life.

Sometimes in your life you get stuck feeling like there is only one way to do something and I don't know why this is.I got into the habit of doing things in a very rigid way and once I started asking myself why I was doing it this way and whether I could change how I do it things started to get better.

Sorry if that's a bit vague but I have a habit of getting stuck and it helps to do a bit of outsider looking in work.

I’d try and work out what I was unhappy with or where I felt the rut was deepest - look at this list and think which areas do you score lowest in ..then try and improve that www.thedesigncoach.com.au/post/the-12-areas-of-life-balance

For instance If you like exercise then mix it up .. run off road or in the dark rather than on road during the day, Go to a different class, join a club. Try something new, or even lots of things until you find one that makes you feel better. Be ambitious! Do you have a childhood dream or goal that you never completed ? Sometimes it’s not big stuff, it could be small things that click everything in place.

Went part time at work. That was a massive positive change for me (though cash flow wise not so much)

Imagine you are a friend or a relaative and talk to yourself like that.
Here I am Aunty and Niece.

Aunty KB: Hey Kirst. What's up?
DN: My life is awful. My house is a tip and I'm not working hard enough.
Aunty KB: Have you tried logging off MN and doing a bit of housework instead, and not logging on during the day?
DN: You have a point. Thanks.

I had a few sessions with a women’s coach - it changed my life!

What interests you? Fitness / further study / volunteer work / changing job or partner etc etc - what do you want to do?
