Premier Inn booking help please!

I'm meant to be staying at a Premier Inn today. Woke up with Covid symptoms so can't stay.

The phone booking helpline is closed and the app/website won't let me change my dates (just tells me there's a problem with doing that.)

What do I do now? It's over £200 which I can't afford to lose!

Cancel the booking and then rebook separately for January.

I can't cancel it unfortunately. Nipping out for a test then will ring when I get back. Should have done it earlier but we've had a bloody power cut so no house phone and my mobile wasn't charged 😣

Why can’t you move it? Premier inn we’re allowing all bookings to be moved as long as it was in the same hotel. Did they say why yours can’t be moved?

Even their basic standard rate currently is amendable check in date up until 1pm on day of arrival

Because the phone line was closed yesterday and there seems to be a fault on the website which means I can't change the dates.

And I really hope not but I feel like I did when I had a positive test (stuffy, really sore throat, exhausted) so I honestly don't know 😣

I’d chase them up today. They’ll know they had phone issues yesterday and your call logs will show the attempts.

Their customer service is usually decent so I wouldn’t give up easily if I were you
