Tell me about getting your feet done

I recently had a foot op and my foot looks a bit frankenstein, it makes me feel a bit sick looking at it. I've never had my toes painted professionally but I wonder if that would help or should I hide frankenfoot away. If I went to a salon would that file and paint my nails with normal nail polish, I don't want shellec or anything fancy.

I’ve been to a chiropodist who files away all the hard skin, cuts off any corns, does a bit of a massage then paints my toe nails- just standard nail polish, nothing fancy. My feet look and feel 100 times better after- in fact, I think I’ll book an appointment for myself again! Not sure all of them offer that, but worth asking.

Of course they can do normal nail polish I LOVE getting a spa pedicure (foot soak, massage with fancy oils and toenails painted. Always feels a bit of a treat and my feet look lovely after. Enjoy x
