I posted on here a bit ago that my grandma had died and I didn’t know how to feel as she had actually been the root cause of a lot of my anxiety and MH issues. The funeral is next Monday and my mum is not coping well. I’m in the North, mum is in the Midlands and my sibling is way down south in Cornwall so we haven’t been able to support too much. We have made plans to go down at the weekend and sort things out. DH is doing the eulogy and also playing the organ for the service.
However - two of DSs classmates have tested positive and he is coughing like mad. We have all had Covid, and DH and I are double jabbed. We have PCRs booked for first thing but I’m going to be a wreck until we get the results. We are up to about number ten of contingency plans depending on the results.
I know no one can do or say anything to help but honestly just writing all this down has been a help. Any positive thoughts would be gratefully received.
Thank you

Results are coming back quickly at the moment - I had mine in less than 24 hours. Until then you can't do anything so distract, yourself, eat something nice, relax, make sure your kids are comfortable, clean something, do a puzzle.... What er works to take your mind off it until the results come through. And then it's time to plan.

Hope you get the result you want.

Thanks. I think I was already feeling guilty for not being more upset, then guilty for not being able to help more. Ironically the constant feeling of guilt is one of the things I have because of Grandma.
My teenager, who has a macabre sense of humour at the best of times thinks that whoever she now is, she is loving all this drama!
