Hi

we moved here recently, bought this house. Never been in thhis situation before and it seems we got the house in a wrong place. we set up cameras so people will keep away but it is not stopping them from creeping in and pulling off the bricks from the wall, throwing drug injections, sticking warning stickers about covid etc. I have them all recorded in camera and also tried informing police about the syringes but all they seem to be worried is disposing them properly.. Nothing has been taken care of. I have got rid of those and today few guys came by and creeped inside the drive way (as unfortunately people are not awailable immediately to put the gates) looked for something then intentionally pulledboff some brick work amd the wall layers then sticked some warninf poster and left. They could be school kids big ones could be sec school. What am i supposed to do? and is it normal for pwoplw to get jntonprovate peoperty and misbehave and do anti social activities?

Please help.

Thanks good idea actually! I have activated alarm aound and going to keep an eye tomorrow and if they turn up again to do some damage I thought to confront and ask them to leave from my property. Do you guys think it would be ok or will they get more abusive looking at me as I am Asian?

I wouldn't personally confront people do you know anyone with a barking dog? Particularly a loud barking dog? If your local I could steal my neighbours it doesn't shut up (joking);

GiraffeClimber · 27/09/2021 23:45

Is there any reason why this is happening to your property? For example, are you next to an alleyway?

No-one here can answer the question about you being Asian

But generally speaking, I wouldn't advise anyone to confront people like that as they're unlikely to go away quietly.

It's a horrible way for anyone to have to live though and I guess cameras and getting as much evidence as you can, is the way to go.

The longer term solution is to render the bricks back into the wall, make sure the wall is in good repair, and install a secure gate.

Sounds like they’re using your wall to store and sell drugs (pulling the bricks out and putting stickers on it) can you remove the wall and replace it with a fence? Or can you repair it so they can’t pull out the bricks?

RainbowBriteUk · 28/09/2021 07:41

OMG this sounds awful.

Please contact the police. You shouldn't be living like this. Is this in the UK?

This sounds likely; could you alert the police to this?
BlueberrySugar · 28/09/2021 08:15

As soon as they trigger your camera sound the alarm.

himab · 28/09/2021 09:09

Thank you so much for all your replies. Yes its in alleyway. I have activated the alarm sound as well so I can go and confront but as you guys said its not advisable I changed my mind. I am going to call police and notify them about this. Yes its in Dudley Uk.Thanks again for taking time to help me out. Much appreciated.
