I booked an Uber executive taxi for an hour long journey. In the app I requested that the car be cool and the driver not talk to me as I was just about to do a presentation and had to go over it in the car. I got in, said hello, I said I hope you don't think I am being rude requesting no conversation and explained why. He was fine with that. Then I said could you please turn the air con on as I am really warm and he said 'no I'm cold' and just wouldn't turn it on. I was genuinely boiling and dripping in sweat.
AIBU to think that if you're paying for a service and the app literally asks you the temperature, then that temperature should be acknowledged and set regardless of the driver's preference?
