Help me find this campsite!! Great Yarmouth

When I was child so 14/15 years ago
I went to a campsite in Great Yarmouth
Now it was a small campsite it wasn't a major chain, and we camping in a tent I don't believe it held more than 30/40 tents
We had a set pitch it wasn't a free for all

Now the details I can remember
It had outside swimming pool surrounded by big green fern trees
It had very small on site shop
But the major difference to most camp sites
It had very old and I mean old arcade room and when I say room it was like small shed but it was filled with 1p/10p penny games
Not a teddy machine in sight
Like old fashioned games you go to museum and play
It had no on site entertainment
It was just well kept campsite

I looked all over online and can't find it
I can't remember the name either
And the only reason I wanna remember because it was last time my dad was well before he died and if it still open now I got a little girl I really want to take her and re live some my
Memories
If it anymore help I believe the chuckle brothers where doing a show on peir that weekend aswell...

Thanks for reading x

The Wild Duck? Will try and think of more!

When you say Great Yarmouth, was it actually in Great Yarmouth do you know? Yarmouth covers quite a big area, of about 20 miles or so, so it could be in any of the villages within 20 miles of the town. If it was near the beach that would narrow it down

Battleoftheislands · 26/09/2021 23:04

Ohh a dusky, I wonder if you’re on about Broad Farm in Fleggburgh?!

confusednortherner · 26/09/2021 23:07

I initially thought Vauxhall or Wild Duck, both much bigger than they'd have been then but could be out of town up or down coast too.
Does this help- www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/townlisting.asp?town=Great%20Yarmouth&county=Norfolk

Broad Farm pretty much fits your description, are you sure it isn’t that?
