To feel this knocked out?

I had surgery earlier this week and went under with a general anaesthetic. I felt OK about half an hour after coming round, but I am absolutely shattered! I can't stop sleeping and feel very emotional. What is wrong with me?!

Your body is healing from the surgery and that takes a lot of energy which is why you're feeling tired.

I had my gallbladder out just over a week go laparoscopically. There's still a little discomfort from the wounds but not bad at all, I am however still easily tired out and need to rest a lot just to do the basics.

It's absolutely normal to feel drained and maybe emotional after a general anaesthetic. Also, you've had surgery! Your body is using a lot of energy on healing and repairing. Take it very easy and be gentle with yourself. I hope you feel better soon.
