Ladies Loos shut

Today we went to stourhead, after a cuppa we went to the Lois before entering the gardens. The gents, open, the ladies and the disabled both closed for refurbishment. A notice saying that the nearest loos are either down in the courtyard, steep hill a couple of hundred yards away, or in the house itself, about two hundred and fifty yards uphill.
No attempt to provide alternatives, ( they have done so in the past!). The car park fairly full.
I was stunned!!

Now you have a taste of the life of a lorry driver and the illegal signs they often face

There were alternatives 200 yards away, it really isn’t worth the outrage!

Many times in daily life you’ll be more than 200 yards from the nearest toilet, how on earth do you cope?

The loos by the shop/cafe are available to anyone without having to pay to go into the garden and house. You would have to pay the entry fee to use the ones 200m away (unless you're a member obviously).

That's fine if you are going in anyway, but for someone who just fancied a snack and visit to the shop it wouldn't be much help to know that there was one so close because they wouldn't want to pay the entry fee.
