I'm not very savvy when it comes to business but from what I can gather this pair funnelled off money from their energy business and put it into other businesses. They were basically operating within very small profit margins leaving the business unable to cope with any wholesale fluctuations. The energy business has now gone bust leaving many customers having to switch but also many employees without jobs. The directors however seemed to have walked away as millionaires by moving the money to different companies Is my perception of this correct?
If so why the hell is this allowed?
