Don't know if there is a bug going around, but sounds like you have a bug.

I had a grisly irritated stomach today. Poops and grizzles. But it was because I ate about a quarter of a pound of cheese last night with 25 ritz crackers, and a fifth of a bottle of port. I enjoyed it immensely, but fuck me I paid the price today. Confused

No it affects people differently. You could get one, the other or both.

Get well soon Flowers

ArblemarchTFruitbat · 24/09/2021 19:40

Yes. I'm hardly ever sick - I just get diarrhoea when everyone else is puking. Not complaining! Hope you feel better soon. If you have any codeine-based painkillers they are good at stopping the squits.

Merryoldgoat · 24/09/2021 19:41

No. When my sons get tummy bugs they get both, I usually get vomiting and DH diarrhoea.

AlCalavicci · 24/09/2021 19:41

@MyPatronusIsACat you should of messaged me I would of come round and recued you from all that cheese calling your name .
I would of made sure it was all put a way in a very safe place Wink

We had the one going round atm a couple of weeks ago, 2 x DC had sickness for about 12 hours, DH had bad diarrhoea for 36 hours, I felt really rough but no D or V, weird!

donkir · 24/09/2021 19:43

There's a huge bug going around. I'm manager of a day nursery and had to call department for health as we had more than the normal expected cases. They said that it was going around across the country. It can be both ends together or one or the other.

Bunnycat101 · 24/09/2021 19:45

In pur house it is common for the children to vom with adults having diarrhoea. Don’t know if that is common but my children seem to very rarely have diarrhoea unless they were teething but have both been very prone to vomiting.

Are you likely to puke after having the diarrhoea or is it normal for you to have diarrhoea only ?

OP posts:
bluepurplepinkyellow · 24/09/2021 19:56

Or could it be where I've only had liquid diet all week ?

OP posts:
Angel2702 · 24/09/2021 19:57

Yes my son only ever has one, daughter is usually only sick and I just get dizzy.

Dollywilde · 24/09/2021 19:58

We had it a few weeks ago. Me and DD just vomited, DH just had the other end Envy

Antinerak · 24/09/2021 20:16

If you've only been consuming liquids you may evade sickness or you'll get dry heaving/just vomitting bile+water sort of thing. Hopefully you'll miss the sickness part, it does happen. There is a lot of tummy bugs going around so you may have the type that just causes squits.

Try to get down some crackers or dry toast- little bits at a time. Get well soon!

LaBellina · 24/09/2021 20:21

I feel for you.

As my ex put it ‘when you need 2 toilets at the same time, one for the upper part and one for the lower part’.
His solution was to sit on it and vomit in the bathtub, btw.

Drink lots of water, eat some toast and fruit and get loads of rest. Get well soon.

no, from personal experience, you don't always get both.
bluepurplepinkyellow · 24/09/2021 20:51

Just don't understand how it's been from Monday to now I've been fine all week apart from worrying

godmum56 · 24/09/2021 21:37

its going around. You may not have caught it off your dd.

LooksBetterWithAFaceMask · 24/09/2021 23:25

It’s been going around my work. There’s been a mix of D&V or just D but we’ve all had at least a couple of days off with it and been rough for a good week afterwards.
I am very very rarely sick even when everyone in the house is sick I’m not but I do get Diarrhoea.

bluepurplepinkyellow · 24/09/2021 23:31

@LooksBetterWithAFaceMask so if I've had the shits I probably won't be sick ?
