Joined yesterday ,paid £100 ,
It didn’t work .phoned up spoke to someone, she asked if I was home schooling .I said yes
Went to log on today ,nothing working .
So I phone up again .
This time there is a message ,all phone lines are closed to home schoolers ..
I can’t even leave a voice message
I have to email them .
Rediculous…that’s £100 gone then

Request a refund. Did you pay by credit card. They can't charge you for a service that you can't access.

ManifestDestinee · 23/09/2021 15:51

It's a well established company of a decade, with good reviews on trust pilot and a string online presence. You not being able to get it working doesn't mean they scammed you...that's a weird conclusion to draw Hmm

SylvanasWindrunner · 23/09/2021 15:52

I would think it was a scam, unless you registered on a scam website and not the actual one? Have you emailed? Sounds just like technical issues.

Noeuf · 23/09/2021 15:52

I’ve used EdPlace for years. Do you have two logins set up? Parent and child? Have you assigned tasks?

SylvanasWindrunner · 23/09/2021 15:53

Wouldn't think it was a scam*

Summersnake · 23/09/2021 15:56

Wouldn’t work properly yesterday,so spoke to someone, today ,it won’t let parent or child log in ..sat down to do work and it’s not registered any password..won’t log in
Rediculous I can’t even speak to someone, they have closed the phone lines ..what jack ass sort of company is this .

If they're an established company then I'd be more likely to assume that being unable to access their website and their phone lines would point to them having server issues than a scam

The more you post the likelier it seems to be a you problem rather than a them problem.....

I hate it when you can't get through to anyone. Maybe just give it a day or two to sort itself out though.

They can't be as bad as Class Dojo, who tried to charge me for a premium subscription 12 months after my daughter left primary school. I'd never even had a premium subscription, only the free one and in Y6 had done a free trial of the premium, but had cancelled before the end (and hadn't been charged then). I got the feeling they were hoping I wouldn't notice...

Antinerak · 23/09/2021 16:32

It's not them, it's you. Cool the jets and wait for them to be contactable again. Crikey!

Noeuf · 23/09/2021 17:19

Just reset your password. Select the forgotten password option.

Noeuf · 23/09/2021 17:19

And go to your emails to check that you set it up

Youdoyoutoday · 23/09/2021 17:21

User error

StormyTeacups · 23/09/2021 17:23

I would suspect that there is a technical issue so they have closed phone lines while they sort it.

Ed Place is not a scam

girlmom21 · 23/09/2021 17:24

I thought this was a post about erectile dysfunction when I read the title Grin

SunshineLane · 23/09/2021 17:28

I found them amazing! Great customer service and quick response to queries and help. They are not a scam. Give them a chance rather than coming on slating them.

LubaLuca · 23/09/2021 17:31

As others have said, it's more likely to be a technical issue than a scam.

Email them.
