I have started to unfollow people in Instagram as I'm just getting fed up of the constant barrage of fake advertisements (oh look at my new face cream by the way, I love it...swipe up for the link!) or the constant tagging of companies that they DONT work with in the shear hope that they will get something for free. These are not people with mass followings, I thought they were people who were "fairly normal" but alas no. They are normal but like to think they are a celeb of some sort. Are they not tired of the constant attempts at trying to gain attention. I don't get it....

I find all the need for fame (attention ?) odd.

They get paid. It's work for loads of them. So they need to seek attention.

I follow local museums, local artists, crapload of garden stuff, houseplants, local what's on profiles, few friends, historical sites etc.
Screw influencers, National Trust all the way 😁 highly recommended.

But they can't be getting paid by companies that they are randomly tagging and admitting that they hope they see it... 10-20k following wouldn't warrant that much business surely?

Just unfollow them there's no need to get all annoyed by them.

10-20k followers is when you start getting paid. Some get paid with less but i think this is where it starts looking like "omg i might make a living lol".

And they do all kind of bullshit.

You can but it's just the way the world is now. I'd just stick to following people you know IRL or accept that at some point there will be an ad/ wannabe ad.
