To return bras that were fitted but don’t fit?

Had a bra fitting in John Lewis on Sunday. Had 3 bras fitted and bought all 3 to the tune on close to £75.
Put one on yesterday morning and whilst stood up they fit fine but as soon as I’m sat, they are far too big. The top third of the cups where they join the strap concertina together, bag and dig in under my arms. Tried another one of a different style and it’s exactly the same. The cups are far too big for me.
Can I take them back? They were fitted but don’t fit so of no use or ornament to me.

Thanks for any advice.

They aren’t custom made so can be returned under terms and conditions you purchased them. That would JWs return policy which is probably very good. What does it say on the receipt ?

By the sounds of it you need more expert fitting. A good fitter will take account of not just size but also the support needed to keep it in place. Expect to pay a lot more for a good bra.

Id say yes. They fitted you with the wrong size. If a bra fitter has said it fits but you find they’ve not fitted it particulars well then it’s not your fault. It’s not unreasonable to ask them to exchange/return it. I’ve recently taken one back to Bravissimo for the same reason and they didn’t even question it.

Absolutely, you can and should. It's like when you buy foundation, get someone to match the colour perfectly, and then discover that outside of the shop lighting it's bright orange (though foundation is much harder to return).

Personally I'm very done with bra fittings, I think it's more productive to go to a shop with loads of stock, try oodles of them on in a variety of sizes and go with that. I've been told a different measurement by lots of different people, and the bras seem to be different sizes regardless of what number is on them anyway.

Of course you can, and you should. Even if you hadn't been "fitted", you can still return under the normal returns policy anyway.

Thank you all. I don’t want to embarrass myself trying to return them

Absolutely stop wearing them and take them back.

I will however tell you about my similar experience - bra fitting and expensive purchases in Debenhams. A week later, I'm storming into the house ripping new fancy bra off and yelling about how terrible their service is..... Only to discover shortly thereafter that I was pregnant (unexpectedly) and that the first sign had, in fact, been the fact that my breasts got bigger overnight! Grin

[post pregnancy I wore those lovely fitting bras for years!]

yes they will take them bvack

Thank you all. I only wore it half an hour before it was hurting me so took it off and tried the other style which felt the same.
They are lovely bras though so will just exchange them for a smaller cup size
