Posting for a quick response. My DD is 14 months and I've been moving her morning nap later each day to try to move from 2 to 1 naps. Today's nap was due to start around 11 but unfortunately she has a weekly swimming lesson at 11.10 (a 10 min walk away). I thought that for today only we would try an earlier nap time and two naps. But she wouldn't fall asleep when I tried earlier as it was too soon for her.
She fell asleep at 10.30am. I will need to wake her at 10.55 to go swimming which would mean a 25 minute cat nap.
Should I:
A) wake her at 10.55, go swimming, and then give her a longer afternoon nap.
B) forget swimming today and let her sleep as long as she likes this morning?
