Anyone else do this? Friday night plans

Been to the shop and got myself, just for me, a big bag of nachos, dips, chocolates and my favourite drinks (can’t drink booze at the mo) looking forward to my Friday night alone of scoffing and Gogglebox as Dp is on toddler bedtime duty tonight. The treats are hidden and preparations are in motion 🤣
Anyone else do this with food?
What are your Friday night plans? Are they as exciting as mine?!

Dp out for the first time in years, he’ll be back soon. I’ve tidied and just done ironing, watching masterchef (I’m very behind) and having a cuppa and a biscuit now. I forgot the chocolate on last week’s tesco order so only have orange clubs to eat. Stopped at 2.

We toyed with the idea of eating out but no one had the energy so I heated up onebof my emergency pre- made, frozen chicken pies, and made mash, the last of our runner beans, carrots and corn.
Now I'm on the pinot grigio and ahem.....wot sits Grin

Hahaa I’ve found my tribe! Just blitzed through half a toblerone while sitting outside my toddlers room waiting for him to fall asleep (gentle sleep training method) and watching greys anatomy

I ordered an Indian takeaway whilst using the treadmill at the gym.
It felt wrong, yet so right.

DP out, toddler in bed. Bath with a g&t then made a Thai curry for tea. Now having another gin catching up on MAFS.

InnPain · 17/09/2021 21:42

@Ohgiveover77 I do this a lot too, buy my favourite treats and get all comfy and scoff them in bed. It’s a nice way to reward myself for all the hard work I do!

Cherrysoup · 17/09/2021 22:01

Blackberry gin and Minstrels on the go, despite being confined to quarters with diarrhoea today. I’ve had scrambled egg, so I’m hoping it’ll do as promised and I can tolerate the booze.

DH is at home with 18 year old DD and I am in the pub drinking pints with a mate heh heh. We won't have too much (3?) and a few snacks. The pub is five minutes from home

Brokenrecord3006 · 17/09/2021 22:36

How long does it take to put your toddler to bed that you're spending the evening alone?!

Anyway! Your plan sounds bloody lovely. We often buy nice snacks to eat in front of the TV on the weekend.

Ohgiveover77 · 17/09/2021 23:05

@Brokenrecord3006 Bloody ages! We generally fall asleep up there with her

I've only just seen this thread, and there's something a bit melancholy about reading it after the fact, on a Monday morning. Friday seems very far away!

@JesusInTheCabbageVan, glad your takeaway arrived in time!

Blankspace4 · 20/09/2021 10:41

Reading this on a Monday morning has made me depressed!!! Roll on Friday…awful how we wish our lives away!!

lazylinguist · 20/09/2021 22:28

God no. I'd be tossing and turning all night with a sugar rush and raging indigestion and acid reflux, unfortunately. I never ever eat anything after my dinner at about 7pm - it's just not worth it!

Whyisitsodifficult · 20/09/2021 22:33

What’s MAFS?🤔
