🤣 glad it's not just me!

Bamaluz · 15/09/2021 22:16

Oh no, not me, and I've never texted someone to let them know they've left their phone at home either.
That may be a lie actually

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 15/09/2021 22:17

I was wandering around looking for my glasses and it wasn’t until I caught sight of myself in the mirror that I realised they were on top of my head

I’m not even 50! How can I be doing old lady things?!?

Scarby9 · 15/09/2021 22:18

I have also never decided to fill in the time I can't watch TV or work on my PC because of a power cut, by getting out the ironing...

ConsulTremas · 15/09/2021 22:21

Glasses, definitely. Phone, not so much.

2lsinllama · 15/09/2021 22:24

Spent ages looking for my phone this morning. Even had to turn down the Sonos system to concentrate. Only realised AFTER I’d used my phone to turn down said system. Yep - right there in front of me.
I also left the house the other morning clutching the remote control instead of my phone. I blame the menopause

hahahayoumustbejoking · 15/09/2021 22:25

I obviously meant is not as in the title.

I'm chalking that up to another moment.

I couldn't find my Ladyshave once when I was getting ready to go out, so I tried to dial its non existent number so that I could follow the buzzing and find it.

Shadedog · 15/09/2021 22:26

Several times I’ve marched back across the car park at work to retrieve my phone from my car. To be fair it was there once

megletthesecond · 15/09/2021 22:26

Me too.

WhereTheWildlingsLive · 15/09/2021 22:27

I have more than once had a minor panicky moment that I couldn't find my phone and announced as such to the person I was talking to on the phone... 🤦‍♀️

CompletelyPotts · 15/09/2021 22:27

I may also have called my house when no one was in and became unreasonably irritated by the dog refusing to answer the phone.

I have panicked that I've lost my phone and been rooting for it frantically in my handbag while telling the person on the other end of MY PHONE that I have lost it. In my defence, the person on the other end didn't ask how I was managing to call them if I'd lost my phone...

Claraboochuffing · 15/09/2021 22:28

When the battery went in my car key fob I did not stand next to my car wondering how to get in it

Sofuckingsad · 15/09/2021 22:28

Cross posts! Glad I'm not the only one...

Bearfrills · 15/09/2021 22:31

When I was pregnant blaming it on baby brain I had the "where my phone!?" panic. Checked all of my pockets, my coat, tipped my bag out, couldn't find it. Checked down the back of the sofa cushions, nothing. Searched all the places I usually leave it, no phone. Finally I admitted defeat, picked up my phone from the mantlepiece, and tearfully texted DH to let him know I'd lost my phone Blush

Dilbertian · 15/09/2021 22:42

Glasses, for me. Even more bonkers is that I cannot remember whether I'm wearing my normal specs or my reading specs, so I don't know which pair I'm looking for!

OTOH, having reading specs means that I can at least see to find the other pair. Nothing worse than being unable to look for your glasses because you can't bloody see them.
