Hacked off with GP (menopause related)

I'll try to keep this short-

I'm 46, pretty sure I'm in the throes of peri menopause (dryness everywhere, slightly shorter cycles, really bad anxiety, sore breasts, vile metallic taste/burning mouth/ random fits of crying/rage).

I waited ages for a GP appointment with the "women's health" GP and she didn't seem to know anything.

She ordered a hormone test (which I'm pretty sure is pointless given my age and symptoms) and nobody has even bothered explaining the results (I checked online it says I have a FSH level of 14.5. I have no idea what this means. I was on my period at the time. I don't like to google because I have severe health anxiety.

It was a phone appointment and she really gave me the impression I was wasting her time.

I just want to feel better :(

The NICE guidelines say a FSH test is not required if someone has perimenopausal symptoms above 45yo. You should be prescribed HRT. I'd go to a different doctor.
