School not sharing CAT scores with future schools anymore

They say it would be unfair to those children who don’t do well in their CATs to include them. And if they don’t include them for those who didn’t scare well, but include them for other children who did well, that would create a suspicion in those cases when it has been omitted, so still unfair.

What are your thoughts on this? What if your child does well in their CATs (but perhaps less well in written or other exams) is it not unfair towards them to not include something which is to their advantage?

Apologies for the typos.

And just to clarify, I’m referring to the head’s reports which are sent to senior schools. These reports tend to include a variety of elements, one of which used to be the CAT scores, but they have now decided not to include them

CATS or SATs.

DD1 SATS were done in primary but CATS weren't done until high school here (grammar).
