Sorry not an AIBU but posting for traffic as I'm quite worried. Someone very close to me in the family has just twins at 30 weeks. The smallest was just under 2 pounds in weight. They are in NICU and according to my family member they are doing as well as can be expected. What are their chances of surviving with positive outcomes? Are they likely to have health problems at that gestation? Any stories of 30 weekers who went on to be healthy babies would be appreciated as I'm so worried. 😞

My friend had babies at 30 weeks and 32 weeks and both in their teens now and well with no underlying issues.
And im guessing that science and support has moved on from 15 years ago so I'm sure you have good reason to still feel confident.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed Thanks

My mum was 2 lb when she was born. This was 70 years ago and she survived
