So holiday is creeping up on us and we've never been before. Why can't I find any prices for the activities (I've heard can be very expensive) online. I might be able to see when I eventually can book them but that's not for a couple of weeks and I'm trying to figure out how much to put aside for activities alone!

AIBU for wanting to know the prices before I look and then maybe I won't tell the kids everything that's there and pre select some I would be happy to pay for before telling them their choices.

I'm probably being unreasonable even booking CP Confused

We went a couple of weekends ago. Didn't do any of the bigger activities, just did tennis, badminton, table tennis, kayaking, pool and obviously swimming. Felt like we did plenty with our days. Kayaking was the most expensive at £23 for 2 double kayaks, and everything around £10. We also had Cafe Rouge afternoon tea for £12.50 per person. We has a barbecue at the lodge one night, which was lovely. We took our own bikes to save money too.

Wow everyone. Thank you so much for all your help! Honestly this has really made me feel better. I saw the list of activities and thought how would we afford and fit it all in, but if I'm able to swim most days, and do a couple of cheap activities plus a treetop and boat then that will be perfect.

Thanks for the hints and tips about food and shopping. I will deffo take everything I can. Did someone say you could take your own snacks into the swimming pool area?! That would be handy. That's where money really adds up.

Thanks everyone!

Swimming will be open, no booking from 6pm as well by then. So absolutely do that one evening. Rapids in the dark at sherwood, amazing.

You can take food into the pools, I would recommend taking nuts for squirrels to put outside your cabin as they are v expensive in the shop.
