Unknown betting website on credit report

I've just checked my credit score and noticed a few months ago that Bet365 did a soft credit search

It says:

GB GROUP-BET365 NON CREDIT
Search for Id Check By Other Public Sector

I've never signed up to Bet365 or any other betting website, never placed a bet in my life.

Should I be worried? What do I do?

Do you think someone has tried to take out credit in your name? I have never been on a betting website but perhaps they do a check for opening accounts?

Do you live with someone? If so I'd be doing some questioning there first.

I have a Bet365 account, but it doesn’t show like that on my credit report - it shows as a soft ID search.

I can’t imagine what Bet365 would be doing searches for other than betting, but the “public sector” part suggests it might be something being outsourced to them?

I really don't know

I have also just spotted there is a 'Ikano' 'Fixed term credit sale' which is closing this month: I don't know what this is! I am trying to find a number to call them to query it. There is an account number for it

This is all on Clearscore, I have Experian which I check regularly and haven't seen any of this on there before!

I do but 100% is nothing to do with them, the details are also listed as my name and address

Looks like an ID verification check, not credit. Someone has used your name to open an account with Bet 365. Got any under 18s living at home who might want to bet on the football?
