To think they don't communicate?

Friend and her husband seem to have an amazing marriage but they also don't ever seem to communicate.
One will tell me one thing, another will tell me the complete opposite for example. Or one will send me a text confirming a meet up and later in the evening, the other will send the same message.
Has anyone else seen this with their couple friends? I find it so odd that they are evidently so happy together (lots of holidays and days out, physically affectionate, he always buys her flowers etc) but that they just don't seem to speak to one another. Confused

I think this comes from two people who aren't co-dependent actually. It's a good sign.

There are no set rules in their relationship as to who arranges the social life and so they each function independently.

Agreed. It’s also preferable to the types who say ‘Wifey’s the social secretary!’ as if they’re far too busy and important to send a text confirming ‘8 pm, Slug and Lettuce’.
