AIBU to ask what masters you would do?

Hi Mumsnet brains trust,

A few years ago I did a media degree, and currently work as a media advisor.

I am starting a masters next year and was wondering if I might be making a mistake staying in the same field (considering the relatively low future earning potential).

What would you study if you were in my shoes and looking to potentially make a change?

Obviously I'm skilled at English, have strong people skills etc. Just looking for ideas I can investigate.

I work in PR and marketing. I would probably do a Masters in sports science as it's a passion and I could specialise in my current career. Not that I couldn't do that anyway...

If I was doing the Masters simply for fun, say in 35+ years when I retire, then I'd choose Zoology.

I'm doing an MBA at the moment, and really enjoying it - plus every bit of work we do is applicable to my actual work (and you are asked to base things on your company).

Thanks everyone. CMOT I had thought about an MBA.

To make a change - speech and language therapy, for sure.

Are you doing it to get into a new career?
Could you do one through work? Then they would pay for it..... I'm a nurse...my Masters is in public health...did it through work

Data analysis.

Bit if it was just for me, I'd do Rheumatology or CBT.
