Stay safe

I'm fed up of hearing this everywhere. That's it really but even on work emails it's there. Like I wasn't staying safe before? Rant over ha ha

'Rant over' is really annoying though.

Definitely. I got sick of this long ago. I'd rather take some element of risk (as we all do every day just going about our lives) and get some enjoyment out of life thanks very much.

I tried very very hard to stay safe.
Had both my jabs.
Still tried to stay safe.
4 weeks post second jab. ...
Caught Covid.
Angry
Wasn't really ill but felt a bit conned!!

I’ve never had that in a work email.
The only emails I put it in was the ones I sent to my DH when he was deployed in Afghanistan…
I would say YANBU unless of course you are in fact working in a war zone.

Its better than "I hope this Email finds you well". I hate that although I do put "hope you are well" on some emails of work people I know but not emailed for a while. So it's probably the same.

The phrase "Now, more than ever" that seems to be on almost every tv and radio advert in recent months can get to fuck as well.

A friend I met in a mental health support group used to sign off with 'stay safe' pre-Covid. Now it just makes me cringe.

I'm in a high risk field and CEV
We are back to work and many of my colleagues didn't have a choice to risk themselves

LFTs and double vaccinated. Still, colleagues have died

So 'stay safe' means something to me and to my colleagues. I'm sorry to hear it irritates you

I didn't explain that very well.
I meantt that those of us that could wfh did, those that were essential face to face wouldn't

But we had a number of patients we had to see

It was all about staying safe
And about risk assessing

I'd love to have had the luxury that 'staying safe' wasn't a weekly or daily reminder
