As fly's have so many eyes

Why the fuck can they not find the massive open door and fly the fuck away?

Maybe they prefer it indoors? And they only flying around the windows to enjoy the view.

There is nothing indoors for them, just cat biscuits and no self respecting fly would eat them.

I say YABU. Just because they have lots of eyes doesn’t mean they can see like we do. Flies are practically blind. Do you think they enjoy constantly head butting glass (to the point of sometimes knocking themselves out cold) in trying to escape outside?

I have never seen a fly knock itself out. Maybe they enjoy the headbanging.

I have often thought this, but then I think, do I really want to live in a world where flies are intelligent and can make plans and anticipate the future?

Let them bang their heads.

Oh and more usefully, if you're making shooing motions do it from at least 3 or 4 feet away as they can perceive that and will move away from the threat. I guess from a fly pov, having eyes that show you potential predators from a distance is more useful than up close when it's too late?
