My DD started nursery on Monday. Spoke to another new mum at pick up but my toddler was all over the place and afterwards I felt I was a bit unfriendly (distracted more than anything). Anyway since then I've realised she's new to our village and I've seen her on her own a few times. Would it be odd/pushy to send a friend request or something? I feel a bit bad about being so unfriendly. I won't be doing many pick ups now as my i will be doing them. Do I leave it for now?

I think its a nice gesture to make contact. I wouldn't FR, but send a PM apologising for rushing off and seeing rude. Ask if she want to meet with the children?

Wouldn't it be more natural just to talk to her next time you see her? I think she might find a friend request from a virtual stranger a bit bemusing.

Good advice above

Just have a chat the next time you see her
