To worry about sleeping baby?

Posting for traffic.

Baby is 12 weeks. He sleeps A LOT. Sometimes awake 1.5 hrs between naps but sometimes eats and right back to sleep again. Doctor says it's not worrying unless he's floppy/drowsy when awake but my DS was never like this.

AIBU to worry despite doctor's reassurance?

TIA

My DS was like this. It would take me ages to get him to sleep but once he was sleeping, he'd sleep for friggin hours.

Doctors told me if he's active and alert while awake, as well as feeding normally with wet nappies then everything is fine! He just likes his sleep lol

DD slept loads. It was bloody brilliant Grin Then she dropped her nap before she was 2 and is awake all day now. Enjoy it!

My baby is like that too - enjoy it! Smile

My DD was like this. She was practically asleep for the first 3 months of her life. At one point over the first 2 weeks we spoke to a midwife to sent us to A&E because she just woke to eat then slept. She is 13mths now. Still sleeps for 13hrs 6pm to 7am at night and a good 2-3hrs in the day but she's alert and active and meeting her milestones. I'm pleased I've got one good sleeper as DS age 5 goes to bed at 7pm, wakes at 5am and still doesn't sleep through the night.

Thanks, all, this is reassuring!

Mine is 3 months old today and exactly the same!

She's awake for up to 1.5 hours after a feed then has a nap until the next one. She also sleeps 8 hours at night.

I wouldn't worry op, unless it affects his nighttime sleep a lot?
