Fancy my new neighbour!

Hi,

Don’t even know why I’m posting this tbh but I have a new neighbour and I quite fancy him. We’ve had a bit of a chat over the wall and it’s just himself living there, he seems really friendly, we say hello when we see each other but that’s about it so far.

I’m a single parent and not dated in coming up to 3 years. What would you do?

I'd keep chatting and get to know him better, maybe suggest a cup of tea or a glass of wine in yours sometime.

SephrinaX · 09/09/2021 21:54

I'd probably try to so a bit of social media stalking to see if you can find out anything more.

DukeOfEarlGrey · 09/09/2021 21:55

Invite him over for a coffee before you miss the ‘welcome to the neighbourhood’ window. Obviously don’t rush into anything as you will have to live next to him if it doesn’t work out, but if you like him no reason not to explore it - perhaps the universe has popped him right there just for you Wink

My advice is not to shit where you eat Grin.

Leave it. Most people are friendly when they just move in. Be friends but if it all goes wrong he lives next door!

BloodyTinaNextdoorAgain · 09/09/2021 22:00

I wouldn't shit on your own doorstep

Shag him hard against the fence ?

I've gotten involved with a neighbour before. My advice....don't go there. If you can't help yourself, build up a strong friendship first and get to know him properly and find out if he's worth it. You'll possibly be living next to each other for years so if something goes wrong, you're potentially screwed. You don't know if he's a nutter yet! Ideally, as a PP said, don't shit where you live!

LookAtMoiPloise · 09/09/2021 22:29

Hmm. You just have to weigh up whether it's worth the potential risk of it going nowhere, and then feeling awkward moving forward.

But, then again, why not give it a shot?
