Posting here for traffic really

My DH’s company is holding an event and we need something for the kids to do, it’s an outdoor event and have already been told a bouncy castle is a no go as the area is cobblestone and it can’t be anchored down.

We have a face painter and a magician but I have hit a dead end in my head and everything I google
Seems to be inflatable or magicians!

Does anyone have any ideas they can throw my way something they can hire or even put together themselves??

Thank you in advance

Is it a mix of ages or very young DC?

Sexnotgender · 09/09/2021 11:35

What ages?

Balloon animals?

Sirzy · 09/09/2021 11:36

A marquee with crafts in?

A circus skills thing?

Characters?

Get a local farmer to bring ducks or gun dogs and do duck herding / gun dog display, it’s brilliant

Rattysparklebum · 09/09/2021 11:38

Circus skills workshop like teaching them juggling, diabolo etc?
Some sort of craft activity, bracelet making, pottery decorating?

My kids love the sand art stalls. I was at a family fun day last week and they had a kids bucking bronco.

Silent disco, lawn type games but that can be done on cobbles, drawing/art competition (though if it's windy that might be annoying), I've seen events where a mobile petting zoo has been set up but I don't think it's fair on the animals personally

Cookiesandscones · 09/09/2021 11:40

It’s going to be a mix of ages from really young to I think about 12/13 year olds

The magician also does balloon animals sorry I
Forgot to mention that in the post

Marquee and crafts sounds like a good idea

I will have a look into the farmer one aswell

You can never have enough bubbles and balloons when kids are around. Maybe a bubble machine and someone who can make fun kids balloons.

Oh, Xpost Smile

Silent disco is a relatively cheap and popular hire, and you put it in the craft marquee.

Pottery painting
Jewellery making
Crafts
Circus school
Mini zoo
