Expecting first baby

I see Jennifer Lawrence is pregnant. Lovely news. But what is the obsession with it’s her ‘first’ baby. It drives me nuts. Almost everyone says ‘is it your first?’ Are you involved in my medical care? No? None of your business! Range of responses include - I don’t know, I don’t know how many I’m going to have. No, it will be my only. No, I gave the first 2 to magpies to raise. No, I’ve experienced a tragedy. Don’t ask it’s not your business, why do you need to know anyway? What benefit does knowing that information bring you?

Ah it’s just a conversation thing like ‘do you know what you’re having?’ And they say ‘aww’ either way. They wouldn’t say ‘oh how unfortunate’ whatever your answer was.

I love the idea of a baby being raised by magpies. Round here I’d probably give it to the crow instead, he just seems a bit more responsible.
