Booking flights for Dec or Feb

Wondering if others have done so? Desperate to see family (Middle East) but so hard to anticipate lockdowns etc then. Assume airline would be flexible and my job is also flexible enough that I could isolate at home if needed but the thought of 10 days isolation in a hotel horrifies me.

We have flights booked for February, saying that, we booked them in May when numbers were down a lot.

Same as you, we want to see family. We would have no way to quarantaine with them so we either can go with no restrictions or we have to cancel.

I have one weekend in December earmarked to fly and see my mum but I am not a lot wiser. Most likely it will be very short notice.
