Can you ever trust your emotions?

Just that really. If you had a big decision to make, would you trust your emotions. Or do you think they are transitory and it’s better to use reason?

Emotions are, as you say, transitory, and often unreliable (because they are based on situations that the brain recognises as similar but the circumstances are completely different).

Not saying they should be ignore but factual information should be at least as important. Problem is, there are often unknown facts which can turn everything on its head.
