Chronic muscle pain - HRT question - aibu asking here?

Posting here for traffic as can't find an HRT board. I know there's an HRT expert here too!

I started HRT in July. Mainly as a preventative measure against heart disease and osteoporosis. Thought I didn't really really have any menopausal symptoms but then I realised that little things like dry eyes were connected.

I digress. Muscle pain and stiffness is really setting in now. Had it before HRT but again I didn't realise it was connected. I have friends on HRT who said their aches cleared up completely.

Could I be on the wrong type/dose?

My breasts have plumped back up to their pre children size so don't want to lose that bit as I'm really enjoying looking a little more curvy in my clothes!

I'm on Utrogestan 100mg and Estraderm 25.

Thanks so much in advance ☺😊

There's a menopause board under the health section.

Would be interested in answers to this though, as I'm struggling with joint/muscle pain, and was pondering over HRT for it. Your mention of it making breasts bigger though is a bit horrifying, there's no way I want mine to be any bigger, they've already plumped up with perimenopause.

Ah thanks for the pointer. I'll pop over there too.

I don't think the boobs thing happens to everyone. Two friends are most upset it hasn't happened to them but they are on a different hrt Grin

Unashamedly bumping up Grin is nobody here menopausal?

Estraderm 25 is the lowest dose, I believe. It's more usual to start on 50.

Thanks I've just been on the other board. I'm feeling hopeful now. Is it progesterone or oestrogen that's responsible for my pumping up my breasts do you know?
