Back to School - Stuck in queues again

Since my children have gone back to school in September, the queuing system is still in place. With a few different entrances into the school, you have to enter a new queue for each child you need to drop off/collect. On one of the entrances there is an alleyway into the school so they use a traffic light system which means you get held up for long periods of time while your light is 'red' and you aren't allowed to enter the alleyway. They have shut all the internal gates which allow shortcuts through the grounds so everyone is forced to walk around the outside of the school between queues making the pavements absolute carnage for a prolonged period of time.
Alongside this, they have cut down collection times since last term so you have ten minutes to navigate all the queues which is frankly impossible.
My main frustration is that during all this, we are being forced to stand in close contact (no one wears masks or socially distances despite being asked too in the queues) for up to half an hour at a time (that's how early you have to arrive and get a place in the queue for pickup if you want to navigate the one way system on time to collect multiple children). I feel like I would much rather risk walking past someone in an alleyway than stand next to that person for 30 minutes in a ridiculous queue. AIBU in not seeing the point in this anymore? Are everyone's schools still doing this?
