Advice re wording complaint to Storage company

MrsCatE · 03/09/2021 14:40

We had to put loads of stuff into storage last year, recently reclaimed and are in the process of unpacking.

I can’t believe it but all my clothes have shrunk! I assumed our stuff would have been stored in a temperature controlled warehouse but obviously, must have been kept in adverse conditions so my stuff shrank whilst MrCat’s are fine.

How I can I get some compensation plus blast them on Twitter for their nefarious storage practices?

Good try- better to think that they have shrunk rather than that you have just put weight

Try fast 800

Ha ha I was about to give you some legal advice then I read again Grin. Funnily enough I was thinking about complaining to the supermarket about my new washing powder for the same reason Wink.

I’ve had the same problem since lockdown. My wardrobe must have some sort of issue but not sure what. Nothing fits. It’s a mystery.

Ha ha. Ordered a new set of bathroom scales during lockdown as "these ones are clearly reading wrong".

Reader, they weren't.

Your clothes are obviously made of far more expensive and delicate materials than MrCat's cheap nonsense and that's why they have been affected. I agree, it's outrageous.

Maskedrevenger · 03/09/2021 16:19

I would urge caution before you contact them, I would advise you to check everything you had in storage paying particular attention to single chairs, bathroom scales, any specialist sports or exercise wear you had stored as well as jewellery such as chokers, bracelets or rings and even watches. You may find the problem is MUCH BIGGER than you at first thought.

MrsCatE · 03/09/2021 22:05

Bugger @Maskedrevenger you’re so right. I told MrCat about your theory re scales / equipment. He was puzzled because said we’d never had any; the poor, sweet man - he can’t envision how deep the evil storage company’s claws embed.
