.. anyone else fed up with the back to back news about these doing some kind of weird gig next year ( as someone wrote it's an ABBATAR!)
They can't need the money ( money money )
I used to be a fan, but I am finding all this publicity a bit odd. After all , they didn't really ever go away did they ? Two films, a long running stage show their albums still sell or sampled by others , why all this news about it all?
I went to see the tribute band a few years and and they were ok , but I wouldn't pay out to see holograms of them! All very strange.

I mean... I wouldn't pay to see them or their holograms, happy to listen to the music again and again thanks to my preschooler in my own home. But if someone out there is willing to pay money and thinks it'd be a good night out listening to ABBA holograms, I can't begrudge them.

No, good point that if it makes people happy etc but I suppose the tickets won't be cheap and the front rows will taken up with ' celebs' and their off spring trying to get on the tele!!
I must admit the tribute band I saw were good though so it might work.

You are entitled to your opinion, but you are being very unreasonable!
it's lovely news that ABBA is producing music again, after 40 years!
If you have heard them talking about it, the motivation is not about money (as they have financial independence..), but because they love writing music and working together.
The quality of the new tracks is really good, very abba-esque but with mature voices - which I think is lovely.
The lyrics of 'don't shut me out' reflects on your very doubts, i.e, of how they might be received, turning up again: "I think it's fair to say, you look bewildered. And you wonder why I'm here today, and so you should, I would"
