To be worried about taking my son to the dentist

My son fell on a slide and chipped off his front tooth last march. We took him to a and e and he had an x ray and his teeth checked over and they told him that he would only need a general checkup unless he had any kind of pain or teeth blackening. I booked him a general check up but had to cancel due to covid happening and I havent rebooked up until now because I've been pretty cautious with everything as he has a history of seasonal colds turning to bronchitis. Hes had no pain in his tooth at all and I'm now going to book his a general checkup but I'm so worried that the dentist is going to tell me off or worse when I take him in

What or worse do you think they are actually going to do? Is it a baby tooth?

@Dontknownow86 I dont know, I'm just worried they're going to think I was being negligent by not taking him for a check up at the dentists up until now and yes it is a baby tooth

Leaving it any longer won't make it better.

I've had bronchitis about three times - each time it weakens my lungs, and about three years in colds developing into bronchitis follows.
You may find that if he's had a while without seasonal colds, his lungs will have strengthened sufficiently and it won't happen again.

@ThinWomansBrain well that's really the reason that I'm getting it done now as we all had covid about 8 weeks ago now and he was asymptomatic. Thats interesting to know as well, the three previous years to covid he's been hospitalised with bronchitis so I hope that this is the end of it Smile

They're not going to much about a baby tooth as it'll fall out soon and be replaced anyway
