AIBU To Think That Amazon Have Gone Mad

I ordered some stuff (dry shampoo, to be exact) and it was supposed to arrive tomorrow.

Today I received an email from Amazon telling me that they were sorry they'd misread my address, but they had rectified their error, so my parcel would arrive tomorrow.

Hmm. It rather sounds like my parcel will arrive tomorrow, which was when I expected it to arrive.

AIBU to think Amazon might just as well not have told me about the supposed cock-up with my address?

It’s just automated, they don’t have the capacity to hire staff to deal direct with every order.

It’s quite normal.

Why would you give this any headspace? Your parcel will arrive when it's supposed to, what's the big deal?

CatMandarin · 30/08/2021 15:08

Not really worth thinking about

How dare Amazon keep me informed of things!

It will be automated that any error with the address will result in the email being sent, it just so happens that it doesn't affect your delivery date.

I like Amazon emails. Even better the 'your parcel is 8 stops away' tracking.

Its all automated at no point was a person involved to apply any common sense.

Bit unusual to have problems with the address but it will just be an automated email. It might have come today, my orders often come early.
