To want to know what the toot toot digger is singing

Fairly trivial as it goes but for the past few months my DP and I have been singing along to our son's toot toot digger toy. We have been singing;
'Up and down, back and forth, move my bumpkin anywhere'. We had been assuming that the bumpkin was part of a digger, the bit at the end that digs.....until today. We googled it earlier and have discovered that this is not what it is called so now have no idea what the song says. According to sources online, the digging part is called the bucket, and the song definitely doesn't say bucket.

AIBU to really need to know? Google hasn't been of any help and so either we have the song wrong and they're not saying bumpkin at all, or it is called a bumpkin but it doesn't refer to a part of the digger. I'm really hoping someone on here knows what the hell I'm on about and can help!

I just checked ours.. it says 'up and down, back and forth, move my bucket anywhere'

Can't help as we don't have the digger but I have the same issue with the motorcycle! It says something like "on open roads or round the bend, safety first something " I think it's safety first, I've learnt. my husband thinks it's safety first, or invert.

We also had the cement mixer, the rubbish truck, the aeroplane, police car, and I’m sure some others. Oh, a forklift. I don’t miss them

Sorry for the delayed reply, my phone broke so I was mumsnet-less for a few days, which really added to the suspense for what the digger might be saying :)

@AnnaSW1 thank you for checking! Ours must have water in it or something, or is from a faulty batch because I still don't hear bucket, though hard to know at this stage whether it's just playing in loop in my head.

We didn’t have the digger but I liked the jaunty taxi jingle ‘I’ll take you anywhere!’, still got rid of the little fucker as soon as my son lost interest!

I LOVED the fire engine in our day: a frustrated opera singer for sure.

Oh god I’ve now got a half-remembered toot toot ambulance in my head. I’d forgotten about those bloody things. Not as annoying as the vetch nursery rhyme book mind you.

@Bimblybomeyelash the nursery book is the worst! I can't understand why it doesn't let one song finish, repetition is not the problem, but the 'the end, the end' or fairytale intro on loop is migraine inducing

We had this and it definitely said bumpkin cos I use to wonder what the hell a bumpkin was!

We had the police car at one point. It never sounded authoritative enough to pass for police. Like please behave good citizens or ill have to involve my mate the digger.
