To wonder why people continue to wear a face covering if they’re not wearing it properly?

Just popped into the supermarket and the amount of people I’ve seen wearing a face covering under their chin, under their nose or hanging off their ear is unbelievable. I’d say a small minority of mask wearers actually wore them properly. AIBU to wonder what’s the point in wearing a mask if you won’t wear it properly? Especially now as it isn’t mandatory in England.

I think a lot of places still insist on them, despite it not being mandatory.

I guess they wear them into the supermarket and then start pulling them down once they're past the staff.

YANBU. Might as well not be wearing one at all if it's under their nose or they're using it as a bloody chin hammock!!

I went to Harry Potter World in Watford a few weeks ago and they asked everyone to wear a mask as it seems like social distancing is no longer a thing however everyone complied and none of this mask-under-nose rubbish. Either wear properly or not at all!
