To be in awe of musicians?

Went to a festival last weekend and I was in awe of the talent.
Not only do the musicians have to learn to play an instrument / sing but also practice it diligently and have a flair for it. Moreover to make it big in the music world you have to have somethng special.
It is such a gift and it is my biggest regret that I didn't learn an instrument at school.

Nothing to stop you learning now, 10,000 hours and all that

Thanks OP - I'm a musician (classical violinist) and your post made me feel all warm and glowy inside.

As a side note it's truly never too late to learn. One of my adult students is in her late 60s and just managed to pass her grade 5 violin exam, having only started learning 3 years ago! 🥰
