I want a nice, weighty stick of chalk not that light puffy fragile pointless stuff that wears down really quickly. Why has everything gone to shit? There's nothing of any quality anymore, just cheap tat. Why don't we want better chalk (feel free to add anything else that's gone to shit). Why is it so difficult to buy good, basic stuff that lasts?

And if anyone has any recommendations for a nice box of chalk sticks please let me know. And yes, I know it's only chalk, but it's not just the chalk is it?

More broadly… quality stuff is still around. There’s just more of everything, and so there’s more sifting and evaluating and comparing to do, and it’s tiring. Capitalism.
