Hi could anyone answer this question or has done this........my mother currently gets universal credit,she is going to have to take money out of her private pension to be able to buy a second hand car for work,I know you can have 6000 in savings before it effects your payments,the money she will be getting out will be no more than that anyway,this is the question,......she has to go
on her journal to change of circumstance to declare savings,once she has put in the amount, is there anything else she has to provide them with or is that all,not very good with this sort of thing and dont want to get anything wrong for her,thank you in advance

Hi I get universal credit to top up my wages, all she has to do is declare the exact amount in her savings and once the DWP have received her change of circumstances if anymore information is needed a message will be sent to her journal on what she needs to do next.

Thank you for reply,do they usually ask for statements as I lent mum money and she worried it will show up
